Runlayer is a platform for AI agents, skills, and MCPs (Model Context Protocols) built for enterprise security and governance. The company recently raised $30M Series A (total $42M raised) and is trusted by companies like Gusto, Instacart, Opendoor, dbt Labs, and Decagon. The founding team built AI Actions for OpenAI, shipped Zapier Agents to millions, and launched the first remote MCP server with Anthropic.
In this Business Operations role, you will own cross-functional projects spanning finance, legal ops, marketing, partnerships, compliance, GTM support, product research, recruiting, events, and other high-priority initiatives. You'll build internal processes from scratch, then automate them using the same agents and tools the company sells to customers. A key part of the role is proactively identifying growing pains and operational problems before they escalate, working behind the scenes to solve them. You'll also support board meeting preparation and company reporting for the Head of Operations.
This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving, well-funded AI infrastructure company. You'll see direct impact as you help scale operations across the organization and work with the platform you're helping to build.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of work experience, with at least some in an operating role at a high-growth startup
- Proficiency using AI tools across your workflow
- Organized and precise in execution
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to think from first principles
- Low ego with high ownership mentality; ability to handle both glamorous and unglamorous work with equal commitment
