OpenLoop is a telehealth platform that powers virtual care delivery across all 50 states. The Pharmacy Operations & Supply Chain team manages the end-to-end journey from prescription to patient delivery, working with a network of 20+ pharmacy partners.
As Vendor Relationship Specialist for the Pharmacy Network, you will own the entire partner network end-to-end. This is a newly created role taking over informal management to establish professional operating standards. You will be the primary point of contact for all 20+ pharmacy fulfillment partners, managing relationships, capacity planning, product and formulary coverage, and performance metrics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the single owner and primary contact for the pharmacy partner network
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms directly with partners, balancing cost against capacity, coverage, and turnaround time
- Source and qualify new pharmacy partners against capacity, product capability, licensure, and compliance requirements
- Build and maintain 50-state medication coverage by identifying and onboarding partners licensed in gap states
- Manage network capacity against demand forecasts, providing partners forward visibility to enable production planning
- Support partner onboarding and integration with internal Systems & Formulary team
- Establish repeatable processes, partner scorecards, and documentation standards for network management
- Conduct periodic in-person site visits to verify capability, quality, and compliance
- Partner cross-functionally with Demand & Supply Planning, Systems & Formulary, Patient Support, and Licensing & Credentialing teams
This role requires building operating standards and processes from the ground up in a fast-moving, flat-structure environment. You will travel to partner sites approximately every 4–6 weeks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years in vendor, partner, supplier, or network management with direct ownership of a partner portfolio
- Working knowledge of 503A compounding pharmacy operations, including state licensure, compounding capability, and capacity variation by medication
- Demonstrated ownership of pricing and commercial negotiations, independently conducted
- Track record sourcing and qualifying new partners from scratch, including cold outreach
- Ability to establish process, standards, and documentation where little exists
- Strong cross-functional communication skills with operational, clinical, technical, and finance audiences
- Comfort in fast-moving, flat-structure environments with shifting priorities and high-touch relationship management
- Willingness to travel to partner sites approximately every 4–6 weeks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing a 503A pharmacy network for multi-state coverage at a telehealth, digital health, or DTC health company
- Familiarity with prescription ordering flows, formulary structure, titration schedules, or medication strengths and concentrations
- Cold-chain or temperature-controlled fulfillment experience
- Contract negotiation and vendor compliance or audit experience
- Experience building vendor scorecards, qualification frameworks, or capacity tracking from the ground up
