Greenhouse is transforming its Corporate IT function from a legacy service desk into an AI-native engineering team. Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, you will lead this transformation by mentoring and scaling the IT engineering organization across US and EMEA time zones.
Your core responsibilities include architecting an AI-first operating model that shifts from reactive, ticket-based support to proactive, agent-driven remediation. You will own the full lifecycle of identity and access management, endpoint management, SaaS governance, and security controls that support the company's compliance posture. You'll design and build automation and agentic workflows that reduce manual toil while maintaining human-in-the-loop guardrails for safety and control.
Key areas of focus:
- Mentor and scale a distributed IT engineering team across multiple time zones, growing engineers into greater ownership
- Architect zero-touch provisioning and seamless deprovisioning workflows for end-to-end lifecycle automation
- Manage the internal tech stack—Okta and Jamf Pro—as programmable infrastructure for employee self-service
- Develop the agentic layer, deploying AI-driven workflows that retrieve context and execute bounded actions across systems
- Operate IT-owned controls and produce evidence for SOC 2 and ISO audits, treating compliance as something you own rather than something handed down
- Provide SaaS portfolio governance, including access reviews, license optimization, and renewal management in partnership with Finance
- Serve as incident commander for high-severity IT events, driving root cause analysis and prevention
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Security, People, Finance, and Legal to enforce access and procurement policies company-wide
You thrive as a builder who prefers architecting self-service systems over staffing queues. You are a trusted operator who holds audit evidence to a high bar without slowing the team. You remain calm and clear-thinking during incidents, and you build genuine relationships across functions rather than waiting for them to come to you. You get energy from scaling team capability and growing engineers into greater ownership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in systems engineering, including 2+ years of management experience in distributed environments
- Expertise in Okta: lifecycle automation, SSO, SCIM, and sophisticated role-based access design
- Hands-on Apple device management with Jamf Pro: zero-touch deployment and automated compliance reporting
- Proven track record of shipping production automation and agentic systems with quantifiable business impact
- Extensive SaaS governance experience, including integration management and cost optimization at scale
- Familiarity with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit cycles and control evidence generation
- Strong engineering judgment regarding AI: fluency in workflow orchestration, prompt design, and observability patterns
- Degree is a plus but not required; technical competency and practical application are prioritized
Note: Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom as of the start date.
