Zoox is seeking a Validation Engineer to join the vehicle verification and validation team responsible for testing and validating new features on its ground-up autonomous vehicle platform. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and execute vehicle-level validation plans for all vehicle-level features, ensuring they meet production maturity standards. Key responsibilities include: - Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive vehicle-level validation plans for all vehicle-level features - Create detailed test cases for vehicle-level features, covering both robot and customer-centric requirements - Conduct, document, and analyze validation test results and issues in written form - Identify and establish regression testing suites and appropriate testing cadences for applicable features - Support homologation test case creation and validation efforts - Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure accountability for meeting requirements You will work on a team that continuously improves the robot's features and capabilities, collaborating across engineering disciplines and holding yourself and teammates accountable for quality outcomes. REQUIREMENTS: - BS in Engineering or Associate Degree/Skilled Trade with additional experience - 6+ years of combined hardware/software/systems verification and validation experience - Experience writing test cases and test reports for feature or vehicle requirements - Experience testing vehicle systems (electrical, mechanical, HMI, dynamic, quasi-static, and inspection) - Experience operating development vehicle test assets and modifying onboard software as needed - Familiarity with CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and/or LIN networks and vehicle system architecture BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Working knowledge of requirements management tools (Polarion, JIRA) - Experience diagnosing issues on CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and LIN - Familiarity with Linux and Python
