Applied Intuition is seeking a founding UX Validation Lead to build and lead their UX/HMI validation practice from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role bridging early-stage HMI concepts with production-grade software quality. You will define and drive the end-to-end HMI/UX validation strategy, establishing quality standards for display logic, control flows, and user experience across the platform. You'll build and scale automated UI testing infrastructure, including test harnesses, simulators, visual regression frameworks, and CI/CD integration to enable efficient validation from hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) to full-vehicle testing. Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional efforts to debug complex UI and system issues, partnering with technical program managers and validation teams on feature test plans, and mentoring a high-performing test engineering team as you grow the practice. Required qualifications: 7+ years of software validation experience with significant depth in UI/UX, display, or HMI testing. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience owning a validation domain and defining test strategy, methodology, and automation infrastructure from scratch. Strong background in automated UI testing frameworks such as Appium and end-to-end test planning from requirements through release sign-off. Experience with Linux, QNX, or Android Automotive (AAOS), with understanding of automotive networking (CAN, Ethernet) and HMI system interactions. Nice-to-have skills include deep expertise in Android Automotive OS or QNX, visual regression tools (Applitools, Percy), and modern CI/CD tooling (Buildkite, Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Applied Intuition is a $15 billion Series A company founded in 2017, powering physical AI for autonomous systems across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. The company is headquartered in Sunnyvale with global offices. The expectation is primarily in-office (5 days/week) with flexibility for occasional remote work.
