SecurityScorecard, the global leader in cybersecurity ratings with over 12 million companies continuously rated across 64 countries, is seeking a UX Director to lead a fundamental transformation of the Product Design & Research organization. This is a strategic rebuild role, not a maintenance position.
Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will set design strategy at the executive level, reshape team operations, and model AI-first design leadership in practice. Your influence will directly impact product direction and organizational strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own multi-quarter design vision across the platform and AI-powered product lines, making the case for design investment at the executive table.
- Rebuild the operating model by moving the team from a centralized ticket queue to decentralized pods embedded in product-line tracks, mirroring Product and Engineering organization.
- Transform designers into AI builders, not just AI users—enabling direct codebase work (GitHub access) to produce interactive, implementation-accurate prototypes grounded in real systems.
- Set the tone for cross-functional speed, leveraging AI to accelerate design and PM collaboration in service of customers.
- Govern the design system as infrastructure, measurably accelerating design and engineering velocity across all surfaces.
- Drive B2B design excellence for complex, data-dense, multi-persona enterprise workflows with WCAG 2.2 accessibility as default.
- Embed research and data through usability testing and behavioral analytics (FullStory, Pendo, or similar) to inform roadmap-level decisions.
- Hire and build the design team, recruiting designers who want to work on the cutting edge.
- Establish a culture of direct, kind, elevating feedback and strong, opinionated points of view.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of UX or product design experience as a strong, opinionated design leader who drives change
- Proven track record setting and executing design strategy at the organizational level, including hiring and developing senior design talent
- B2B SaaS background (not primarily consumer); understanding of enterprise buying cycles and deep user research
- Real, hands-on fluency in AI-augmented design workflows with specific examples: tools used, process, and what you built (general AI tool use alone is insufficient)
- Demonstrated personal drive to stay current on AI-enabled design through training, cohorts, or peer networks
- Clear point of view on resolving design/PM overlap in an AI-builder workflow, rooted in shared ownership rather than territory
- Proven experience building and governing design systems as cross-team infrastructure
- Strong command of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field; equivalent experience accepted
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in cybersecurity or closely adjacent regulated/enterprise-trust spaces
- Experience scaling a design org through growth stage or product expansion
- Experience formalizing agile, pod-based design operating models
- History building design leadership pipelines
- Comfort engaging directly with customers, including live, collaborative sessions
