Salary: USD 178,000 - 247,000 / annual

You will join the Growth team as a Staff Product Designer, embedding directly with the team to define roadmap, vision, and lead design initiatives. This is a product-led growth role focused on self-serve customer acquisition and conversion. You will own design work across funnel optimization, new user experience (NUX), and personalization for guided flows. Your work will leverage AI to create personalized customer experiences and translate quantitative and qualitative insights into testable ideas. Key responsibilities include: - Embed with Growth team to help define roadmap, vision, and lead design work - Own design for funnel optimization, NUX, and personalization in guided flows - Design growth systems, experiments, and new product features - Champion designs delivering seamless, easy, delightful experiences for SMB users - Facilitate workshops to develop winning ideas - Distill complex information into simple, beautiful user experiences from brainstorming to high-fidelity designs - Build strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize, build, and ship products - Participate in UX research independently and with researchers; apply insights to designs - Be a strong voice in sharing ideas, managing stakeholder feedback, and bringing best practices to the team Checkr expects in-office work 3+ days per week from hub locations (Denver, San Francisco, Nashville, or Santiago). In-office perks include lunch five times weekly, commuter stipend, snacks, and beverages. A relocation stipend may be available. REQUIREMENTS: - 7+ years of professional design experience - 4+ years on Growth teams or in ecommerce and merchandising, with demonstrated impact on conversion, basket price, and product adoption - Expertise in onboarding and merchandising surfaces; comfort with iterative experimentation (A/B testing) - Ability to conduct UX research and testing independently; innate curiosity and problem-solving orientation - Excel in complexity and fast-paced environments; balance craft, critical thinking, and business needs - Focus on psychology and behavioral patterns; experience with behavioral science is a plus - Strong ability to connect work to bigger picture; communicate high-level goals and align projects - Deep understanding of design best practices and contemporary design patterns - Portfolio showcasing high-quality work with direct project impact - A-player mindset with strong bias for action, urgency, resilience through ambiguity, and ownership - Nice to have: B2B experience focusing on SMBs
