Imbue is building a suite of open-source AI agent tools that prioritize user ownership and control. The company has raised $200M at over $1B valuation with backing from Nvidia, Simon Last (Notion co-founder), and Eric Schmidt (former Google CEO).
As User Success Manager, you'll be one of the closest people at Imbue to users, serving as a bridge between the community and the product/engineering teams. Your role blends technical problem-solving, customer success, community building, and product discovery.
Key responsibilities:
- Work directly with users on setup, troubleshooting, and product discovery
- Build deep relationships with engaged users to understand their goals, workflows, and pain points
- Become a product expert and translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible guidance
- Create onboarding materials, documentation, examples, workshops, and office hours
- Build and grow the user community both online and in person
- Develop tight feedback loops between users and product/engineering teams; surface patterns, unexpected use cases, friction points, and ideas
- Identify and share compelling stories about what users are building
- Build scalable systems and processes to support community growth
This is not a traditional community management role—it requires technical depth, genuine relationship-building skills, and the ability to turn user feedback into product insights.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in technical community, developer relations, technical customer success, solutions engineering, or similar technical user-facing roles
- Technical proficiency: ability to understand how products work, reproduce issues, troubleshoot with users, and communicate effectively with engineers
- Strong user empathy and ability to uncover underlying needs beyond stated requests
- Skill in explaining complex technical concepts clearly and simply
- Genuine community-building ability focused on authentic relationships, not just engagement metrics
- Instinct for turning repeated problems into better documentation, tooling, product experiences, or processes
- Strong product intuition to distinguish meaningful patterns from anecdotes
- Comfort with ambiguity and excitement about building without an established playbook
