Salary: USD 117,000 - 170,000 / annual

The Fan Ecosystem team focuses on the Fanatics App—a unified platform where fans buy, collect, bet, and play. This role sits within the Experience Design team, serving as the customer voice that drives fan-first decision-making across product, design, and engineering. As a User Experience Researcher III, you will execute research projects that deepen understanding of fan behaviors, needs, and pain points. You'll support the Sr. Manager of UX Research in daily operations and collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and Commercial teams to develop research plans aligned with the product roadmap. Key responsibilities include: - Managing research intake requests from stakeholders and creating structured research plans - Planning and executing evaluative research for new and existing features - Conducting discovery research for future product roadmap initiatives - Performing qualitative customer interviews to inform product and design decisions - Setting up and managing unmoderated user tests - Planning, managing, and synthesizing quantitative research (surveys) - Collaborating with researchers across Fanatics verticals to gather holistic fan insights - Managing longitudinal health metrics such as NPS and CSAT - Owning research operations including screening, recruiting, scheduling, methodology, tooling, synthesis, and insight socialization - Synthesizing findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership, product, design, engineering, marketing, and commercial teams - Advocating for research findings and the voice-of-the-customer across stakeholders and communication channels - Supporting research operations work such as participant management, data management, process documentation, and tool selection You'll grow your professional research skills alongside experienced product and design professionals, with opportunities to conduct research across many methodologies and capacities. REQUIREMENTS: - 2–4 years of experience in UX research, usability testing, or related field - Strong foundational knowledge of user-centered design principles and mixed methods research background - Ability to synthesize insights and communicate findings clearly and impactfully - Time management skills to report on customer insights quickly and regularly - Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced product development environments - Familiarity with research tools (unmoderated interviewing tools, survey software, transcript apps, video editing) - Experience integrating AI into everyday research work (planning, synthesis, reporting) - Business-curious mindset; ability to apply data toward product decisions and revenue creation - Strong written and spoken communication skills; comfort sharing research results with stakeholders - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple research projects simultaneously - Proven collaboration skills and comfort building connections throughout an organization BONUS: - Experience with quantitative research methods, survey design, and data analysis - Background in human-computer interaction (HCI) or user experience design - Experience in agile product development environments - Comfort with ambiguity, change, innovation, and new challenges
