The University Business Development Representative will build and manage a portfolio of partnerships with universities, colleges, and career training programs. This is a high-volume sales role requiring 60% cold outreach and 40% relationship development. You'll conduct one-on-one calls with school administrators, program directors, and financial aid offices; execute daily outbound campaigns via phone and email; plan distribution strategies with schools; and visit campuses in person to meet with administrators and students at career fairs and virtual events.
Key responsibilities include managing a CRM pipeline from initial outreach through active partnership, securing quarterly testimonials from partner institutions, exploring creative partnership opportunities, maintaining accurate interaction records, collaborating with marketing on co-branded materials and landing pages, and reporting on outreach activity and application volume.
The role requires 2–3+ years of experience in outreach, business development, partnerships, or higher-education engagement. You'll need strong verbal and written communication skills, comfort with high-volume calling and email sequencing, excellent relationship-building abilities, CRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred), and experience partnering with marketing teams. A scrappy, resilient, and positive attitude is essential.
Travel comprises up to 40% of the role, including campus visits, career fairs, and three annual company all-hands meetings. The position is remote but restricted to Eastern or Central Time zones.
