Xona Space Systems is seeking a UE Verification Engineer to join their team in Montreal. Xona is building Pulsar, an advanced satellite-based positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) infrastructure in low Earth orbit designed to provide centimeter-level global positioning with superior precision, power efficiency, and robustness.
In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and validating GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receivers that are compatible with Pulsar. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive testing protocols, verification procedures, and certification processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing detailed test plans for GNSS hardware verification and certification
- Creating test cases and scenarios to evaluate receiver performance across various conditions and market segments
- Converting existing test requirements into automated, repeatable workflows
- Designing functional and robustness test procedures covering positioning, timing, interference, resilience, and environmental impacts
- Analyzing test data and generating detailed verification reports with performance metrics and specification compliance assessments
- Supporting field testing and validation activities as needed
- Standardizing data capture, storage, traceability, and reporting processes
- Implementing improvements to test workflows for better coverage, repeatability, and quality assurance
- Staying current with GNSS technologies, standards, and industry trends to inform testing strategies
This is an in-office role based in Montreal, Canada. Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessments for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR compliance.
