Coursera and Udemy have merged to create a comprehensive skills platform serving 300+ million learners and 12,000+ enterprise customers. You'll lead consumer strategy and business development for the combined company's direct-to-consumer (D2C) ecosystem, identifying and executing high-impact partnerships that drive distribution, revenue growth, and user engagement. In this role, you'll own the full partnership lifecycle—from market analysis and opportunity assessment through negotiation, onboarding, and performance optimization. You'll work with partners across multiple verticals including career services platforms, online communities, device manufacturers (handset/laptop OEMs), telcos, universities, and governments. Your strategic insights will inform how Coursera-Udemy scales D2C channels while maintaining alignment with the company's mission to transform learning through AI-powered upskilling. Key responsibilities include leading strategic planning processes, conducting market analysis to identify emerging opportunities (AI-driven personalization, mobile-first behaviors), assessing partnership opportunities, and preparing partner engagement materials. You'll serve as the central partnership lead across Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Data teams, ensuring seamless integration and post-launch performance monitoring. You'll also manage detailed business reviews with partners, champion their needs internally, and optimize customer acquisition metrics (LTV, CAC) across partner channels. This is a strategic role that balances day-to-day execution with long-term planning. You'll need strong partnership management skills, deep experience with D2C growth strategies, and the ability to navigate complex cross-functional collaboration. The company operates with flexible work arrangements—remote, office, or hybrid—with intentional in-person collaboration for key milestones and complex problem-solving.
