Salary: EUR 32,000 - 35,000 / annual
sennder, Europe's leading digital freight forwarder, is seeking a Transport Planner to join the Operations team in Milan. This hybrid role (2 days remote per week) focuses on revolutionizing road logistics through digitalization and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate strategically with the Operations Manager and Finance/Quality teams to maintain high service standards, cost control, and continuous performance improvement in transport operations
- Coordinate and supervise national transport flows, ensuring adherence to timelines, SLAs, and contractual requirements
- Define and implement load and route optimization strategies with direct impact on costs, vehicle utilization, and margins
- Manage and develop the carrier network, monitoring performance KPIs (quality, punctuality) and negotiating operational and commercial terms
- Handle complex escalations and operational issues (delays, incidents, service failures), ensuring rapid resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction
- Support implementation of new processes and continuous improvement initiatives in transport operations

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in road transport planning and management (FTL/LTL, distribution networks, or express couriers)
- Solid understanding of logistics operations and key performance indicators (e.g., transit time)
- Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with TMS (Transport Management Systems) and data analysis tools
- Ability to independently manage high volumes and operational complexity with strong problem-solving orientation
- Experience managing and negotiating with transport service providers
- Fluent Italian language skills
