Anthropic is seeking a Transaction Manager to lead the commercial sourcing and execution of data center capacity deals critical to powering frontier AI systems. This role bridges commercial negotiations with complex internal coordination across legal, finance, engineering, and network teams.
Key responsibilities include identifying data center capacity opportunities through relationship management with developers, brokers, and power contacts; leading RFP and competitive sourcing processes; negotiating term sheets and LOIs; and serving as the central project manager ensuring seamless stakeholder alignment from initial sourcing through lease execution. You will act as the single point of contact for cross-functional teams, manage transaction timelines and critical path items, and develop scalable transaction playbooks as Anthropic expands its infrastructure footprint.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in transaction management, commercial real estate, data center leasing, or infrastructure procurement, with a proven track record managing complex multi-stakeholder transactions. Strong negotiation skills, project management expertise, and ability to coordinate across legal, technical, finance, and operational teams are essential. Experience with RFP processes, competitive sourcing for large-scale infrastructure, and exceptional communication skills are required. You should thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where processes are being built alongside execution.
Bonus qualifications include specific data center or hyperscale infrastructure transaction experience, understanding of technical requirements for AI/ML workloads (power density, cooling, network connectivity), experience with complex lease negotiations, familiarity with data center developer ecosystems, background in high-growth tech companies managing infrastructure expansion, and experience in corporate development or strategic partnerships.
