The Solana Foundation, a non-profit based in Zug, Switzerland, is seeking a Trading Growth Lead for the Asia-Pacific region. This is a business development role focused on driving adoption of Solana as a trading platform across APAC's institutional and retail trading ecosystem.
You will own outbound relationships with trading counterparties including prop shops, HFT firms, market makers, quant funds, OTC desks, and onchain-native trading firms. Your responsibilities include mapping the region's volume movers, understanding their specific trading needs (execution quality, order types, margin treatment, listings, fees), and structuring compelling offers to route their flow onto Solana venues.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and manage relationships with major trading desks and capital allocators across APAC hubs (Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, and Greater China)
- Negotiate terms, rebates, and agreements with counterparties
- Collaborate with product and protocol teams to prioritize features and infrastructure needed by desks (order types, margin support, collateral treatment, listings)
- Secure allocators and LPs to seed and deepen Solana markets
- Own performance metrics: volume, open interest, active counterparties, capital brought onchain, and program ROI
- Provide escalation support and VIP treatment to maintain and grow relationships post-launch
Required qualifications:
- Native Mandarin speaker, fluent with Greater China desks and regional trading hubs
- Existing book of trading relationships across APAC with demonstrated ability to move volume
- Deep understanding of market microstructure, perpetuals funding, margin mechanics, and spot liquidity
- DeFi literacy including core primitives, capital efficiency, lending, leverage, and RWA tokenization
- Track record of directly moving volume or flow at exchanges, market makers, prop shops, funds, or protocols
- Based in APAC, able to operate across regional and global time zones
This is a relationship-driven, outbound-focused role requiring both technical trading knowledge and business development acumen.
