Salary: USD 91,500 - 129,883 / annual
Echodyne is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to support its fast-growing operations. The company manufactures compact solid-state beam-steering radar systems for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft, drones, and critical infrastructure security applications. The technology is export-controlled, making trade compliance a core operational function.
In this role, you will manage daily customs, import, export, RMA, procurement, shipping, and customer due diligence workflows. You'll coordinate routine customs matters with brokers, freight forwarders, shipping, logistics, procurement, supply chain, RMA, and sales teams, escalating non-standard issues appropriately. Key responsibilities include reviewing import and shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, entry records, broker inquiries); supporting HTS classification work by reviewing product information and proposing classifications; gathering and maintaining country of origin, manufacturer, COTS classification, valuation, and product description data; supporting export control reviews by collecting facts on products, technology, destinations, end users, and transaction structure; conducting customer due diligence using tools like Dow Jones Risk Center for restricted party screening and red flag review; and assisting with export license applications and authorizations.
You'll need a minimum of 3 years in customs compliance, trade compliance, import/export operations, logistics compliance, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or related fields. Required expertise includes hands-on experience with HTS classification, country of origin determination, valuation, customs brokers, entry documents, and shipping documentation. Working knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is essential, along with familiarity in restricted party screening, customer due diligence, end-use/end-user red flags, and sanctions-related transaction review. Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-up, and recordkeeping skills are critical, as is the ability to manage multiple transactional requests and escalate compliance issues clearly and timely. Experience with SNAP-R, DECCS, or supporting export license applications is valued.
Desired qualifications include a U.S. Customs Broker License, aerospace/defense/radar/electronics/hardware manufacturing or government contracting experience, familiarity with Dow Jones Risk Center or similar restricted party screening tools, and experience with Arena, NetSuite, Trello, or similar business systems.
