Salary: USD 95,000 - 110,000 / annual
Medici Brands, parent company of David protein snacks and other emerging consumer brands, is seeking a Quality Associate to manage third-party manufacturing quality operations. The role supports day-to-day quality management across David's contract manufacturers, ensuring consistent compliance with quality, food safety, product specifications, and documentation standards.
Key responsibilities include co-manufacturer qualification and onboarding, coordination of quality documentation and certifications, participation in audits and site visits, and tracking of corrective actions and non-conformances. You will manage finished goods lot release activities, review Certificates of Analysis against specifications, and maintain quality management systems and controlled documentation. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, R&D, and external partners to drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing network.
You will maintain co-manufacturer dashboards and performance scorecards, coordinate weekly quality meetings, ensure audit-readiness of documentation, and help translate product development requirements into manufacturing specifications. The position involves domestic and international travel as needed.
Required qualifications include a background in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Food Safety, or related field, with demonstrated experience in food, beverage, or CPG quality, regulatory, or food safety roles. You must have working knowledge of food safety and regulatory frameworks (FDA, FSMA, GFSI, HACCP, Prop 65), strong organizational skills, and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, scaling environment. Preferred experience includes supplier audits, CAPAs, recall execution, TraceGains or similar supplier management systems, PCQI/HACCP/GFSI certifications, and direct co-manufacturer or 3PL experience.
