Anthropic is hiring a TPM Manager to lead technical program management across its Infrastructure organization, which owns systems for model training, product serving, engineering tooling, and operations. The Infrastructure team manages datacenter operations, multi-cloud capacity planning (AWS, GCP, Azure), accelerator cluster management, production serving infrastructure, data pipelines, and networking.
In this role, you will own 2–3 critical infrastructure programs while building and scaling a TPM team to support Anthropic's rapid growth. You'll report to the Head of TPM and partner closely with engineering leaders on technical strategy and roadmapping.
Key responsibilities include:
**IC Program Leadership**: Personally drive 2–3 highest-priority programs (datacenter bring-ups, capacity scaling, infrastructure migrations, reliability efforts). Run the actual programs end-to-end, build processes and playbooks as you execute, and earn credibility through solid execution.
**Team Building & Development**: Set the standard for TPM work in this domain, coach and develop TPMs, transition programs to your team as you hire, and grow the team by defining roles, sourcing candidates, and closing hires.
**Planning & Prioritization**: Work with engineering leads to identify high-impact TPM work, make tradeoffs on staffing and priorities, maintain portfolio-level visibility across programs, and represent the team in planning cycles and leadership reviews.
**Cross-functional Coordination**: Coordinate across Infrastructure and partner teams (Research, Product, Security, Finance, Legal) on cross-organizational programs, drive alignment on hardware/software initiatives, and own executive communication on program status and risks.
You should have 10+ years of technical program management experience with 7+ years managing TPMs, ideally leading larger TPM organizations. You've built teams or functions from scratch, scaled TPM teams in fast-growing environments, and have hands-on experience with physical and software infrastructure (datacenters, networking, hardware ops, distributed systems, cloud platforms). You've run large-scale compute or infrastructure programs and can communicate complex initiatives clearly to senior leadership. You're comfortable doing IC work alongside people management and don't view hands-on execution as beneath you.
