Adyen is seeking a Compliance Officer for its Growth Programs team to drive cross-functional execution of payment compliance initiatives across new products, markets, partners, and network programs. This role sits at the intersection of Payments Compliance, Product, Engineering, Commercial, Partnerships, Legal, and Operations, requiring someone who can lead without formal authority and translate complex regulatory and network requirements into scalable operating solutions.
Key responsibilities include leading growth programs from problem definition through technical launch and post-launch optimization; partnering with Product and Engineering to convert scheme and network rules into clear technical requirements and automated controls; collaborating with Commercial, Legal, Risk, and regional teams to resolve dependencies and confirm launch readiness; designing pragmatic decision frameworks for high-growth merchant use cases outside standard network mandates; and maintaining program roadmaps, decision logs, and operational metrics while escalating blockers with actionable recommendations.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in technical program management, product operations, payments, fintech, risk, compliance, or similarly cross-functional roles. Strong understanding of payments infrastructure, payment methods, network rules, and merchant payment flows is essential, along with demonstrated ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder initiatives with competing priorities. Experience supporting launches involving compliance, product, legal, or partner considerations is valued. The role requires excellent organizational skills, structured planning and execution discipline, and the ability to balance business growth goals with control and regulatory requirements.
