Salary: USD 95,000 - 152,950 / annual
Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Territory Manager for Shockwave Medical, a division focused on developing and commercializing Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. This field-based role is responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory in the Seattle area.
You will develop and implement sales strategies to promote Shockwave products to hospital personnel and physicians. Key responsibilities include cold calling and prospecting to build relationships, meeting with interventional cardiologists and vascular surgeons to understand their needs, and educating customers on products through presentations and demonstrations. You will routinely attend procedures in catheter labs to advise on product usage and gain clinical insights. The role requires attaining assigned sales quotas and revenue objectives, partnering with clinical, marketing, and R&D teams to identify opportunities, and maintaining detailed sales reports and compliance documentation.
You will manage your territory independently, handling time, resources, and budget to achieve quarterly and annual objectives. Building and maintaining solid customer relationships is essential, as is demonstrating in-depth product knowledge and the ability to communicate clinically with physicians. You must comply with all FDA, medical device, and corporate compliance standards.
The position is field-based with frequent travel to hospital sites. You may be required to sit for prolonged periods, lift objects up to 25 lbs or more, and work in both temperature-controlled and non-temperature-controlled environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years' territory manager experience in hospital-based life sciences (cardiovascular preferred), or 3 years' cardiovascular/interventional sales support experience
- Successful sales experience in catheter technology, with occlusive vascular disease, endovascular, atherectomy, stent, or coronary sales experience preferred
- Ability to meet and exceed assigned sales plans on quarterly and annual basis
- Capable of independently managing time, resources, and budget
- Strong customer relationship skills with ability to obtain new users
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
- Must not be debarred by FDA for medical device work
- Valid driver's license required
- Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team
