Salary: USD 95,000 - 152,950 / annual
Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Territory Manager for Shockwave Medical, a medical device company pioneering Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. This is a field-based sales role focused on driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction within an assigned territory.
You will be responsible for cold calling, prospecting, and building relationships with physicians and hospital personnel to increase account revenue. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing sales strategies to promote Shockwave products, meeting with interventional cardiologists and vascular surgeons to understand their needs, educating customers on products through presentations and demonstrations, and attending procedures in catheter labs to advise on product usage. You will manage case coverage, partner with clinical and marketing teams to identify selling opportunities, maintain detailed sales and expense reports, and ensure compliance with FDA, medical device, and ethics standards.
The role requires demonstrating in-depth product knowledge, ability to speak clinically at a high level with physicians, and independently managing time, resources, and budget to achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives. You will build and maintain solid customer relationships while representing the company with ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years' territory manager experience in hospital-based life sciences (cardiovascular preferred), OR 3 years' cardiovascular or interventional sales support experience
- Successful sales experience in catheter technology with occlusive vascular disease, endovascular, atherectomy, stent, or coronary sales experience (peripheral influence preferred but not required)
- Ability to meet and exceed assigned sales plan on quarterly and annual basis
- Capable of independently managing time, resources, and budget within assigned territory
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers, hospitals, and physicians
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Must not be debarred by FDA for work in medical device business
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with flexibility to changing requirements
- Physical requirements: continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in 8-hour day); may lift objects up to 25 lbs or more; work in air-conditioned and non-temperature-controlled spaces
