Salary: USD 95,000 - 152,950 / annual
Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Territory Manager for Shockwave Medical, a medical device company pioneering Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. You will be responsible for driving sales growth across the Los Angeles, Inland Empire, and San Diego territories, focusing on hospital systems and interventional cardiologists.
In this field-based role, you will develop and execute sales strategies to promote Shockwave products to hospital personnel and physicians. Key responsibilities include cold calling and prospecting to build relationships, conducting consultative sales calls with interventional cardiologists and vascular surgeons, attending procedures in catheter labs to demonstrate product usage, and meeting with physicians to understand their needs and clinical requirements. You will educate customers on products through presentations and demonstrations, partner with clinical and marketing teams to identify opportunities, and maintain detailed reporting on sales activities, expenses, and account targeting.
You will be expected to achieve assigned sales quotas on a quarterly and annual basis, manage your territory independently, build lasting relationships with key decision makers, and demonstrate in-depth product knowledge at a clinical level. Compliance with FDA regulations, medical device standards, and company ethics policies is essential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years' territory manager experience in hospital-based life sciences (cardiovascular preferred), OR 3 years' cardiovascular/interventional sales support experience
- Successful sales experience in catheter technology, with occlusive vascular disease, endovascular, atherectomy, stent, or coronary sales experience preferred
- Ability to meet and exceed assigned sales plans on quarterly and annual basis
- Capable of independently managing time, resources, and budget within assigned territory
- Must not be debarred by FDA for medical device work
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
- Physical requirements: continuous sitting for prolonged periods; ability to lift up to 25 lbs or more; work in air-conditioned and non-temperature-controlled spaces
