ARX Robotics is seeking a Test Engineer to join their verification and validation team in Munich. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of their GEREON UGV platform and Mithra OS through structured testing across hardware and software domains.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing comprehensive test cases for autonomous robotic systems, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), and field-level testing
- Operating and evaluating robotic platforms in real-world outdoor conditions to validate performance
- Conducting functional, integration, regression, and safety testing throughout the system lifecycle
- Creating and managing physical and digital test environments, from lab rigs to field deployment kits
- Documenting test results, creating detailed reports, and logging defects to support root cause analysis
- Collaborating with senior engineers to translate complex requirements into effective test campaigns
- Contributing to product quality improvements through systematic testing and clear communication of findings
You bring a hands-on, practical mindset with enthusiasm for hardware testing and outdoor field work. You have a foundation in engineering, computer science, systems engineering, or related field with up to two years of relevant experience. Key attributes include strong attention to detail, methodical approach to work, clear English communication (German a plus), and collaborative spirit. Experience with embedded systems, real-time software, hardware-software integration, test documentation tools, and defect tracking is valued but not required.
