Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Maritime team in Costa Mesa, California. This role focuses on systems integration and comprehensive testing of advanced surface platforms powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system for military command and control. You will support the full lifecycle of maritime platform development, from subsystem integration through field operations. Key responsibilities include developing and executing test plans for development, integration, and acceptance testing; managing the integration of sensors, navigation, propulsion, communication, autonomy software, and power systems; conducting hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of surface platforms; and authoring detailed operational test reports. The role involves substantial field work, including multi-day offshore operations and pre/post-mission logistics. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, external partners, and government customers to ensure platforms meet specifications and standards. Travel is required, approximately 30% of the time, with potential for higher frequency during key test campaigns. Required qualifications include 5+ years of systems engineering, integration, and test experience; proficiency in generating test requirements reviews, test plans, procedures, and reports; familiarity with mechanical, software, electrical engineering and control theory; field test and operational environment experience; electronics troubleshooting skills; Linux and command-line competency; and ability to read engineering drawings. You must be detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and eligible to obtain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance. Preferred experience includes working with the U.S. Coast Guard and maritime platform operations. This is a hands-on technical role with direct impact on fielded defense systems.
