Paylocity, a leading cloud-based HR and payroll software provider, is seeking a Test Engineer for Enterprise Applications with Salesforce expertise. This role is part of the Product & Technology team at Airbase by Paylocity (recently acquired), which delivers integrated finance and spend management solutions alongside HCM capabilities.
As a Test Engineer, you will be a quality ambassador within your product team, responsible for developing testing strategies, creating automated test plans, and coaching other engineers on testing best practices. You'll work closely with software engineers, product analysts, and product owners to ensure software meets customer needs and maintains high quality standards.
Key responsibilities include: designing and implementing automated testing frameworks; creating test plans of medium to high complexity; performing exploratory testing to identify gaps; developing and executing security tests; driving continuous integration/continuous delivery improvements; mentoring Associate Software Test Engineers; and recommending process improvements to enhance team velocity and software quality.
You will work independently on testing modules while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires staying current with testing technologies, maintaining a testing mindset across the organization, and actively participating in knowledge-sharing communities of practice.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of software testing experience; proven ability to build tests from scratch without existing frameworks; working knowledge of object-oriented languages (preferably C#); client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript); SQL query writing including joins; API testing experience; consumer-facing web application testing; deep knowledge of agile testing best practices; and hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds. CI/CD pipeline knowledge is essential. You must be adaptable, curious, and committed to taking ownership of quality outcomes.
