Waabi, a leader in Physical AI founded by AI visionary Raquel Urtasun, is seeking a Test Engineer to join its autonomous vehicle testing operations in Pittsburgh. The company is advancing commercial autonomous trucks and robotics with backing from world leaders in AI, automotive, and deep tech.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans on closed-course test tracks and public roads. You will coordinate directly with Waabi engineers to prepare test vehicles and systems for evaluation, manage test schedules, and allocate testing resources efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities include executing test protocols, operating actor vehicles during testing scenarios, generating detailed performance reports, and maintaining vehicle system documentation.
You will work closely with the operations team to ensure effective communication between drivers, engineers, and stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include vehicle system inspections, maintenance record-keeping, and maintaining a safe, organized test facility environment. The role requires flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and holidays, and occasional travel to other Waabi offices (Toronto, San Francisco, Dallas).
