Ophelia is a venture-backed healthtech startup providing FDA-approved telehealth treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD). The company operates across 14 states and is seeking a Territory Manager for the Capital District (Albany, NY region) to drive partnership development and patient referrals.
In this role, you will own the full partnership lifecycle in your territory: identifying and prospecting new referral sources (community organizations, healthcare providers, patient advocates), converting cold outreach into active partnerships, and nurturing long-term relationships. You'll spend the majority of your time in the field meeting with partners, understanding their needs, and positioning Ophelia as a trusted solution for OUD treatment access.
Key responsibilities include managing a high-volume partnership pipeline using CRM tools (Salesforce/HubSpot), tracking conversion metrics from referral to patient enrollment, analyzing which partner types yield the best outcomes, and adjusting strategy weekly based on data. You'll also collect feedback from community partners to identify and help solve referral barriers, and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, product, and operations teams.
The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience in business development, partnership development, medical sales, or account management. You are a self-starter with grit and autonomy—comfortable owning a territory, creating your own outreach strategy, and executing independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with genuine passion for serving vulnerable populations and maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information. You must live within 30 minutes of Albany (including Schenectady, Troy, Saratoga Springs) and be able to travel locally ~4 days/week with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Prior experience in substance use disorder treatment is preferred but not required.
