Contabilizei is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their technology team on a fully remote basis. This is a fullstack role with deep autonomy in backend development (Java/Kotlin and/or Python) and frontend work (Vue.js), owning features end-to-end without handoffs between layers.
Key technical responsibilities include:
- Fullstack development across backend and frontend, driving complete feature delivery
- Google Cloud Platform expertise: Cloud Run, Firestore, Cloud Tasks, PostgreSQL/Cloud SQL, containers, and deployment pipelines
- Building and consuming APIs, integrating with third-party systems, handling failures, retries, idempotency, and graceful degradation
- Writing automated tests (unit, integration, regression) and implementing observability instrumentation
- Using AI-assisted development as a standard practice, not an experiment
Seniority expectations:
- Receive business problems (not just tasks) and drive technical solutions independently
- Proactively signal risks, blockers, and estimation deviations early rather than at delivery time
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design during refinement, questioning scope and proposing lower-effort alternatives
- Thrive in uncertainty—working on products that may be discontinued and rebuilding validated solutions when needed
Desirable experience includes exposure to early-stage product teams, growth initiatives, or experimentation-focused environments.
