FIS Management Services seeks a Technology Business Consultant Senior to lead technology consulting projects in asset finance leasing software. This senior-level role focuses on managing FIS projects with external clients, serving as a liaison between clients and internal consulting teams.
Key responsibilities include independently or collaboratively managing technology consulting projects, researching and documenting client needs, technologies, and regulations that impact system design and acquisitions. You will define product scope, objectives, requirements, and data models for development and testing. The role involves preparing detailed technical specifications, analyzing industry trends and vendor products, and improving processes to solve complex technical issues.
You will recommend technology solutions, develop comprehensive test plans, and conduct system, integration, and acceptance testing. A significant aspect of the role is influencing client priorities and vendor selections through direct consultation, including client travel. You will lead the technical aspects of project delivery while providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members on Asset Finance software functionality, system configuration, and implementation approaches aligned with leasing industry standards. This mentoring is educational in nature, focused on knowledge transfer rather than formal supervisory duties.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in any field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in technology consulting or related roles. You must have hands-on experience with end-to-end systems including leasing software and application development, utilizing business modeling and requirements through UML, SQL, C++, and COBOL programming languages. Experience with business process mapping, agile and waterfall methodologies, and the full software development lifecycle from solution design through delivery is essential. Daily client interaction and requirements gathering experience is required.
