Saronic Technologies is seeking a Technical Writer to create clear, comprehensive documentation for autonomous surface vessels used in maritime defense operations. You will translate complex technical concepts into accessible content for end-users, working closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to gather technical specifications and requirements
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and internal guides for autonomous surface vessels
- Translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation
- Ensuring all documentation adheres to industry standards, best practices, and relevant DoD regulations and guidelines
- Reviewing and editing documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity
- Working with the production team to stay updated on project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Continuously updating and improving documentation based on user and stakeholder feedback
- Staying informed about emerging technologies and best practices in technical writing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
- Experience as a Technical Writer in a technology-driven environment or within the defense industry
- Experience interacting with technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with 3D illustration tools such as CreoIllustrate
- Familiarity with design engineering drawings and the manufacturing lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously with self-direction and meet deadlines
- Portfolio submission required
