Click Therapeutics develops and commercializes software-based prescription medical treatments (Digital Therapeutics) for patients with unmet medical needs. The company combines technical rigor, scientific validation, and patient-centric design to deliver FDA-regulated treatments addressing psychiatry, neurology, oncology, immunology, and cardiometabolic diseases.
As Director of Medical Affairs, you will be a senior scientific leader reporting to the VP of Medical Affairs, owning the scientific evidence and relationships that establish Click's treatments with clinicians, payers, and the medical community. You will define what the evidence says, its clinical and economic meaning, identify gaps, and ensure it reaches decision-makers.
Key responsibilities include:
**Medical Strategy & Evidence:** Define medical strategy for each asset, including target patient profiles and clinical positioning. Establish clinical meaningfulness of trial endpoints, monitor the competitive landscape, and own the evidence plan addressing clinician and payer needs.
**Scientific Communications:** Develop and maintain core medical narratives for each asset. Build field medical materials, medical value story decks, and payer-facing scientific content. Own publication and congress planning, managing medical communications agencies as the scientific reviewer accountable for accuracy. Establish and own Medical Information to support timely, accurate responses to unsolicited healthcare provider requests.
**External Engagement:** Own engagement strategy for each asset by identifying, segmenting, and prioritizing national and regional experts, institutions, and payer decision-makers. Lead compliant peer-to-peer scientific exchanges with clinical experts, health systems, advocacy organizations, and payer medical leadership. Direct scientific presence at major congresses and advisory boards. Drive and synthesize field insights into recommendations shaping medical strategy and evidence priorities.
You will direct agencies, CROs, and vendors executing these strategies and establish Medical Information, medical review, and Medical Affairs governance that scales with the portfolio. This is an agile position within a rapidly growing pre-IPO company in a nascent, fast-growing space. The role is based in Click's Tribeca headquarters with a hybrid model requiring at least 4 days in office per week.
**Requirements:**
- Advanced degree required: MD, DO, PhD, or PharmD
- 10+ years of combined industry, academic, clinical research, or clinical practice experience, with at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including product launch support
- Demonstrated experience building medical value stories, scientific narratives, and medical response content that hold up with clinicians, payers, and regulators
- Experience planning and executing evidence and publication strategy, including study design, protocol development, and CRO/agency/vendor management
- Prior field-based experience (such as Medical Science Liaison role) with a track record of building peer-to-peer scientific relationships with clinical experts and payer decision-makers, translating conversations into medical impact
- Strong analytical judgment: ability to interpret trial statistics and outcome measures, critically assess evidence strengths and gaps, and communicate complex data clearly
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Knowledge of or experience with Digital Therapeutics and/or Prescription Digital Therapeutics
- Experience establishing Medical Affairs infrastructure in early-stage or pre-commercial organizations
**Note:** Click expects all colleagues to have seamlessly integrated AI into their professional workflow and personal productivity, using it as a force multiplier.
