Yellow Card is the largest licensed stablecoin-based infrastructure provider operating across 60+ countries, offering stablecoin payment infrastructure, fiat settlement rails, wallet services, and custom local stablecoin issuance. The company operates a global team spanning 24 countries with linguistic diversity across 25+ languages.
You will join the Commercial Pod as a Technical Team Lead—a deliberately non-managerial role focused on technical excellence and architecture. Your Engineering Manager handles 1:1s, performance, and growth; you own technical direction, technical quality, and stay deep in code (~90% hands-on). This is a full-stack role by requirement: the Commercial Pod owns trade execution, treasury operations, commercial operations, and internal tooling systems that handle real money in real time across multiple currencies and regulators.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end architecture of Commercial Pod systems: service boundaries, data models, event flows, and frontend-service contracts
- Lead the pod's design doc process, writing critical designs and reviewing others
- Represent Commercial in org-wide engineering standards, auditing services and driving adoption
- Document technical trade-offs (serverless vs. containerized, synchronous vs. event-driven, build vs. integrate)
- Take highest-risk production implementations yourself, spanning Vue 3 frontend and TypeScript serverless/containerized services
- Set engineering bar through code and reviews: strict typing, test coverage, structured logs, correlation IDs, graceful failure, fault tolerance
- Own production health: Datadog dashboards, monitors, SLOs, and actionable alerts
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis
- Participate in technical lead dev support rotation (~once every five weeks)
- Mentor pod engineers
Tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Vue 3 (Composition API), Pinia, Vite, Vitest, Storybook, Serverless Framework, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions, EKS with Helm and Istio, Valkey, ElastiCache, S3, API Gateway, Cognito, AWS Bedrock, Datadog, GitHub Actions.
Fintech or crypto product experience strongly preferred. Values: clear communication, strong ownership, raising the bar.
