Together AI is seeking a Technical Sourcer for Engineering—a role designed for someone with a hands-on engineering background who wants to apply technical depth to identifying and recruiting top-tier engineering talent. This is not a traditional recruiting role; it combines technical judgment with sourcing hustle.
You will own proactive outbound sourcing, targeting the top 1% of engineering talent in the Bay Area and other company hubs. Your core responsibilities include building and maintaining pipelines of elite engineers for specific open roles, designing and running high-volume outreach campaigns, reviewing GitHub profiles and technical signals to identify genuinely strong candidates, and running technical first calls that go deep into what candidates have actually built. You will screen aggressively for quality, filtering candidates so only the best reach the hiring team. You'll partner closely with the hiring manager and recruiter to calibrate standards for each role and help shape Together AI's technical sourcing approach as the function grows.

You will report directly to the hiring manager on a tight-knit team of six, with visibility and room to grow into broader ownership of engineering talent sourcing and evaluation. The company will teach you the recruiting craft; you bring the technical judgment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on engineering background (you have worked as an engineer); CS degree is a strong plus
- Ability to read a GitHub profile and extract real signal about depth and quality
- Current technical fluency sufficient to run a credible, deep first call with a strong engineer
- Persistence, hustle, and resilience; energized by outbound work and unfazed by rejection
- Strong written communication that gets busy engineers to reply
- Based in San Francisco
- Recruiting or sourcing experience is a bonus, not required
