Nesto is Canada's leading mortgage technology provider, managing $73B+ CAD in residential and commercial mortgages with 1,000+ team members across 12 offices. You will join the Solution Architecture team to design and deliver end-to-end technology solutions for Nesto Cloud, Canada's most advanced cloud-based mortgage platform serving lenders across the country.
In this role, you will translate complex business requirements into clear, scalable technical specifications, diagrams, and data models that drive solution development. You'll design comprehensive solution blueprints for new products, platform enhancements, and third-party integrations while evaluating and selecting appropriate tools, frameworks, cloud services, databases, and integration patterns. A core responsibility is ensuring all proposed solutions strictly adhere to established enterprise architecture standards and the company's overall technology strategy.
You will communicate architectural designs and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Developers, QA, and external partners. You'll advocate for modern architectural best practices such as Microservices, Domain-Driven Design, and Event-Driven Architecture.
Success is measured by your ability to translate business needs into scalable blueprints, mitigate technical risks, and ensure designs align with enterprise standards while fostering collaboration across teams. The role offers accelerated learning—you'll touch more production systems in one year than in five years at a traditional bank. Core working hours are Eastern Time Zone (EST), though the role is fully remote across Canada with optional access to offices in Montreal, Quebec, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, and others.
Benefits include a premium benefits plan fully paid by nesto (comprehensive insurance, unlimited telemedicine and mental health services), 4 weeks vacation, best-in-class tools, and a collaborative working framework.
