HUD is building infrastructure for RL training data and evaluations for frontier AI agents, with a marketplace connecting data vendors to frontier labs. The company has raised $16M from top VCs and was part of Y Combinator W25.
As Product Manager for the Marketplace, you will own the complete product lifecycle for HUD's data marketplace. Your focus will be on making it easier for data vendors to bring high-quality RL environments and training data to the platform, while enabling research teams to discover, evaluate, and use these resources effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the marketplace product lifecycle from understanding vendor and buyer needs through prioritization, launch, and iteration
- Improving vendor onboarding, submission workflows, quality feedback mechanisms, and offering management
- Enhancing how research teams discover, assess, and access environments and training data
- Collaborating with engineering, research, GTM, and operations to translate complex requirements and manual processes into reliable platform workflows
- Defining and tracking marketplace health metrics, product adoption, and user experience; using feedback and data to inform prioritization
The team is ~25 people, mostly full-time in-person but with some remote flexibility. The company includes 4 International Olympiad medalists, serial AI startup founders, and researchers with publications at top venues like ICLR and NeurIPS. HUD has 8 figures in funding and is scaling profitably to meet strong demand.
The role offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision via Blue Shield for US employees), in-office meals, company-wide holiday break, Equinox membership, 401k, commuter benefits, and unlimited access to AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience owning a live software product from discovery through launch and iteration
- Strong product judgment and ability to simplify technically complex workflows for users
- Experience talking directly with users, identifying problems, and translating insights into clear priorities
- Ability to balance user needs, business impact, and engineering constraints in product decisions
- Comfort using qualitative feedback and quantitative signals to assess product changes
- Clear written communication and ability to align engineers and partners around decisions in ambiguous environments
STRONG CANDIDATES MAY ALSO HAVE:
- Experience with marketplaces or products serving two distinct user groups
- Familiarity with AI training data, evaluations, and RL environments
- Experience building product functions or establishing product practices on growing teams
- Early-stage startup experience and strong cross-timezone collaboration skills
The company prioritizes technical aptitude and learning potential over years of experience. Full-time employment. Offices in San Francisco or Singapore; remote candidates welcome if they can maintain 70-80% time zone overlap with either location. Visa sponsorship and relocation support provided.
