Radiant is building portable nuclear microreactors—specifically the Kaleidos, a 1-megawatt fail-safe reactor that can be transported and deployed anywhere power is needed, running for up to 5 years without refueling. The company is headquartered in El Segundo, CA, founded in 2020, and on track to test its first reactor at Idaho National Laboratory in summer 2026, with initial customer deliveries beginning in 2028.
As Technical Program Manager in the Commercial organization, you will own the end-to-end delivery of government contracts. You serve as the single point of accountability for all contract deliverables—from technical milestones through reactor deployment—with full responsibility for Radiant's most important customer projects. You will operate with wide latitude and direct access to company leadership.
Key responsibilities include: driving contract milestones to completion; managing timely execution of regulatory, engineering, and siting deliverables; serving as primary interface with contracting officers, program offices, installation personnel, and end users; architecting and maintaining integrated master schedules and cost baselines; managing contract compliance, reporting requirements, and milestone billing; identifying and resolving programmatic risks and cross-functional dependencies; owning program financial performance including budget and resource forecasting; standing up project management processes, tools, and reporting cadence; and carrying the customer's voice back to Radiant to shape engineering and deployment decisions.
You will work closely with licensing, state engagement, engineering, and manufacturing teams. The role requires 100% onsite presence at El Segundo HQ and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Required qualifications: 5–7+ years in program or project management; experience managing programs requiring delivery of complex capital equipment or large-scale industrial systems; experience supporting U.S. government programs; proven ability to manage programs with significant technical complexity, multiple parallel workstreams, and cross-functional dependencies; U.S. citizenship (absolute requirement); ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Desired qualifications: familiarity with electric power infrastructure projects; experience building/deploying infrastructure at DoD installations; direct knowledge of FAR/DFARS compliance, government contract types, and federal reporting/audit requirements; active DoD security clearance.
