You will partner with Anthropic's IT & Security organization to drive end-to-end solutions, delivering products, tools, platforms, and experiences that support all employees as they work on safe and powerful AI systems.
In this role, you will leverage technical and program management expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs from conception through completion. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, lead execution, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners. You will be equally comfortable explaining analyses and recommendations to leadership as you are discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering across Corporate Engineering domains to drive alignment and delivery, fostering collaboration between globally distributed product, engineering, and architecture teams
- Defining and maintaining core architectural foundations that underpin Corporate Engineering systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security as the company grows
- Leading office deployment and scaling programs, owning end-to-end planning and execution for new office buildouts and expansions
- Owning internal systems and infrastructure programs for all systems and hardware deployed in Anthropic buildings, including network infrastructure, AV equipment, printing, collaboration hardware, and building technology integrations
- Leading endpoint and device management programs globally for corporate laptops, mobile devices, and endpoint management
- Driving IT Operations excellence through programs that improve IT service delivery, support operations, and overall employee experience with technology
- Managing enterprise software and platform programs for first-party and third-party platforms including HR systems, productivity tools, and business applications
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including Security, Facilities, People, Finance, and functional teams across the organization
- Communicating effectively at all levels, from presenting analyses and recommendations to leadership to engaging on technical tradeoffs with engineering teams
The role owns the full spectrum of Corporate Engineering programs: IT systems, first-party and third-party software platforms, endpoint devices, office infrastructure, AV and collaboration equipment, network infrastructure, and programs that scale physical office footprint as Anthropic grows.
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco, working to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The company operates with a hybrid policy requiring staff to be in office at least 25% of the time, though some roles may require more time on-site.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience in IT, Corporate Engineering, or Enterprise Technology, with at least 4+ years leading complex, cross-functional programs
- Technical background in enterprise IT systems, including endpoint management, identity and access management, network infrastructure, and SaaS platforms
- Experience leading office buildout or infrastructure deployment programs, coordinating across IT, Facilities, and external vendors
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role in a technology-focused environment, with a track record of leading company-wide programs to successful completion
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for executive audiences and engage credibly with engineers on technical details
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity in fast-paced, evolving environments where requirements and priorities shift
- Strong collaboration skills with proven ability to partner across diverse stakeholders including IT, Security, Facilities, People, Finance, and functional teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Field of study relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience scaling IT infrastructure in high-growth technology companies
- Background in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with enterprise software evaluation, procurement, and vendor management
- Familiarity with modern endpoint management platforms and zero-trust security architectures
- Experience with AV systems, video conferencing infrastructure, and collaboration technology deployments
- Prior technical experience as an IT engineer, systems administrator, or network engineer
- Experience with IT programs in AI/ML research environments or organizations with unique security and compliance requirements
