Physical Superintelligence is building AI systems to discover new physics at scale. The company's platform, Emmy, creates coupled physics twins of data center sites to identify capacity and energy optimization opportunities. This Technical Program Manager role owns data center engagements end-to-end, from initial scoping through pilot deployment. The role has two primary dimensions: **Technical Representation**: You serve as PSI's technical face with customers' facilities and infrastructure teams. You hold substantive technical conversations with both customer engineers and PSI's research team about Emmy's capabilities, roadmap, and limitations. You translate customer requirements and constraints into data-requirements documents and instrumentation plans. You understand data location, IT security review processes, and data export usability. You explain results accurately back to customers but do not build models or write production code. **Engagement Execution**: You run each engagement from first conversation through signed contract and pilot. You maintain the plan and dependency list for all active customers, identifying blockers and owners in real time. You own non-technical workstreams including NDAs, engagement agreements, data-sharing agreements, security questionnaires, site access, insurance, compliance, and invoicing milestones. You publish decisions and action items daily, confirm data quality before engineering receives it, and run weekly cadences with customer project leads. **Outcome Ownership**: You own customer success. When contract terms need renegotiation, you handle it before escalating internally. When dates slip, you notify the customer's executive the same day in writing with a revised timeline. You escalate with recommendations, not questions. You make Attio your CRM system of record, building the engagement pipeline with clear stages, documents, blockers, owners, and due dates. You use AI agents to draft notes, status updates, redline summaries, and checklists, wiring them to Attio to automate tracking and follow-up. This is an individual contributor role managing programs, not people. Success is measured by how many engagements you can run well. **Requirements**: - Hands-on experience with software for physical systems in at least one of: industrial data integration (BMS, SCADA, historians, BACnet, Modbus); simulation or digital-twin delivery (CFD, FEA); or analytics software for industrial/facilities customers. Comfortable with APIs, SQL, some Python, and data pipelines. Do not write production code. - Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on technical background (mechanical, electrical, or computer science) with working fundamentals in power, thermal, or mechanical systems. - Five or more years delivering technical projects to external customers where deliverables depended on legal, procurement, security, or facilities workstreams outside your control. Consulting, professional services, forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or customer-side technical program management experience required. - Demonstrated record of unblocking: ability to describe engagements where technical work was ready but other factors blocked progress, with specific actions taken to clear blockers. - Comfort with contracts: experience shepherding NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, or data-sharing agreements through dual legal reviews. Ability to distinguish redlines requiring legal counsel from those requiring phone calls. - Steadiness with senior stakeholders: ability to communicate delays and hold positions with founders, customer executives, and counsel. - Daily fluency with AI agents for drafting, summarizing, and automating follow-ups. Ability to wire workflows to CRM records without engineer support. - Operates independently in ambiguity: makes decisions without explicit direction and ships rather than stalls. **Nice to Have**: - Working fluency in data center operations: MW of critical load, PUE, CRAH units, BMS and DCIM exports, capacity and commissioning. Operator or developer experience in data centers, colocation, or hyperscale infrastructure. - Thermal engineering, CFD, HVAC, or power systems expertise (formal or self-taught). - Experience with performance-based or shared-savings commercial structures requiring baseline agreement. - CRM administration (Attio, HubSpot, Salesforce): pipelines and automations beyond data entry. - Experience standing up delivery, professional services, or deployment engineering functions at early-stage companies.
