Base is rebuilding America's power grid by deploying a distributed battery network to transform today's centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. The Technical Product Manager, GTM role focuses on building world-class experiences that connect Base's value propositions throughout the entire member lifecycle—from data-driven marketing experiences that drive education and conversion at the top of the funnel to post-conversion interactions that support retention and satisfaction.
You will be obsessed with the user-facing experience, combining high user empathy with the ability to communicate complex insights simply. This is a technical role requiring the ability to build quickly with strong foundational architectures designed to scale and iterate within existing system constraints.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and other GTM teams to identify gaps in the member experience and user journey
- Investigating product experiences that could improve the current user journey
- Exploring and acquiring necessary data to build better experiences
- Shipping MVP experiences quickly and collecting data to measure outcomes and learnings
- Iterating rapidly based on feedback and results
- Building product roadmaps across the experience funnel to solve conversion and retention problems
The Growth team operates as one lean, high-ownership unit across marketing, sales, support, product, and design. Everything built is evaluated against one question: are we solving people's problems? Base values first-principles thinking, operating at pace, direct feedback, ownership, strong opinions held loosely, commitment to mission, and balancing grit with collaboration and celebration. Work is in-person and intensive.
Requirements:
- User-centric approach to investigating, understanding, and solving problems
- Systems thinking: understanding how data and processes connect across teams
- Experience in growth engineering, product, or another fast-paced technical role
- Strong data fundamentals: building reports to investigate problems, analyze results, drive action from insights, and monitor success
- Drive to iterate and improve rapidly
- Understanding of software architectures and best practices
- Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Note: Software development experience is not required, but foundational understanding of technical systems is essential
