Voyager Space is seeking a Technical Principal III to lead engineering excellence across defense and national security programs. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer within the ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) Division, you will provide strategic technical guidance and oversight to multiple engineering teams developing SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) software technology products. Your core responsibilities include conceiving and creating technical software system architectures, overseeing their development, and ensuring delivery of high-quality ISR software products. You will contribute to program execution across trade studies, system and software design, risk management, and mitigation planning. A significant portion of your role involves supporting business development—participating in customer meetings, authoring technical whitepapers, delivering briefings, and contributing to proposal generation (technical solutions, cost, and management). You will work closely with program management, lead engineers, and executive leadership to identify and resolve technically challenging issues in ISR software development. This includes leading technical design activities, mentoring engineering teams, and building customer trust within Voyager and externally. You will also assist with engineering recruiting and talent development. The role requires deep expertise in SIGINT systems, particularly airborne COMINT (Communications Intelligence) and ELINT (Electronic Intelligence) platforms, from sensor apertures through ground processing. You will travel 10–25% for on-site integration work and customer engagement. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science; 20+ years of SIGINT-related engineering experience on DoD programs; extensive practical knowledge of designing, developing, integrating, testing, fielding, and sustaining airborne COMINT and ELINT systems. Preferred: Master's degree; current SCI clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance.
