Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Engineer to join the Mission Operations team, responsible for deploying and supporting advanced defense technology systems globally. This role focuses on integrating Anduril's Imaging families of systems into operational concepts and serving as a subject matter expert to ensure customers maximize system capabilities.
You will work in a customer-facing capacity with the Department of Defense, developing and deploying integrated hardware-software products to meet operational needs. Key responsibilities include supporting contract deliverables such as training manuals, pre-deployment site surveys, and technical documentation; tackling complex issues spanning hardware, software, and networking in unstructured field environments; and communicating status updates to internal and customer teams.
You'll provide end-to-end support including hardware setup, software configuration, system pre-configuration, and seamless integration with program infrastructure. Real-time troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving, and hands-on technical skills are essential. You will author training documentation for end users and internal programs, configure and troubleshoot networking environments including firewalls, routers, switches, and cloud-based systems, and manage cross-functional projects spanning multiple teams.
The role requires both technical depth and mentoring capability—you'll coach teammates on systems you've mastered while continuously learning new platforms, guide users through product employment and troubleshooting, advise account managers on operational structuring, and communicate product refinement recommendations to engineering teams.
Required: 5+ years of problem-solving in unstructured environments at the hardware-software-networking interface; strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; Linux command-line troubleshooting experience; ability to translate technical concepts into operational requirements; project management and product deployment experience; excellent communication skills; and willingness to travel extensively.
