Juniper Square is seeking a Technical Lead to architect and oversee development of scalable web applications and distributed systems for the private markets finance platform. You will lead full-stack engineering efforts—designing user-facing applications, backend services, and cloud infrastructure while mentoring engineering teams across frontend and backend domains.
In this role, you'll architect end-to-end systems using Python/FastAPI or Java for backend services, ReactJS and TypeScript for frontend development, and AWS cloud infrastructure. You'll design and implement scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs, build asynchronous processing pipelines using Celery, RabbitMQ, or Redis, and optimize database schemas with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL solutions. You'll also lead frontend development efforts, designing reusable UI components and scalable architecture while collaborating with design and product teams.
Cloud and DevOps responsibilities include deploying and managing applications on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch), implementing CI/CD pipelines, containerizing services with Docker and Kubernetes, and ensuring system observability through logging and monitoring. You'll drive architectural decisions around scalability, distributed systems, caching strategies, and event-driven patterns, while ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.
A significant advantage is experience with AI tools and building AI-driven solutions—including LLMs, embeddings, semantic search, and RAG pipelines—to develop intelligent features and automation capabilities. You'll provide hands-on technical guidance, define coding standards, conduct code reviews, and drive adoption of cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices.
