Eye Security is a European cybersecurity and cyber insurance platform serving SMEs and enterprises. The company has 190+ FTEs, secured €60M Series C funding, and is headquartered in the Netherlands.
You will lead the design and implementation of Eye Security's IT security architecture, monitoring infrastructure, and technical controls. This is a senior technical cybersecurity role reporting to the CISO office, translating compliance requirements into robust technical solutions.
Key responsibilities:
SECURITY ARCHITECTURE: Design and implement insider threat solutions (DLP), role-based access controls, secure system configurations aligned with ISO 27001:2022, and threat models to anticipate attack vectors.
LOG ANALYTICS & MONITORING: Deploy centralized logging and SIEM platforms, design alerting rules and monitoring workflows to detect anomalies and breaches in real time, investigate security alerts, and optimize log retention and analytics performance.
VULNERABILITY & RISK MANAGEMENT: Coordinate vulnerability disclosure and bug bounty programs, oversee penetration testing engagements, and develop processes for tracking and remediating security findings.
SECURE DEVELOPMENT & CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Establish secure coding principles, implement configuration management processes, and design secure data masking techniques.
COMPLIANCE SUPPORT: Work closely with Information Security Officers to translate compliance requirements into technical specifications, provide audit evidence for ISO 27001:2022 and EU NIS2, and support incident response exercises.
You will build and lead the IT Security Office, ensuring security architecture and monitoring capabilities remain aligned with compliance requirements and threat landscape as the company scales.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must-haves:
• Hands-on experience with AWS, DLP, log analytics, SIEM platforms, and secure configuration management in enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of role-based access control (RBAC), separation of duties principles, and their implementation in modern IT infrastructures
• Expertise in security frameworks and compliance standards, particularly ISO 27001:2022 and EU NIS2 requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate compliance requirements into technical solutions
• Strong communication skills to bridge compliance and technical audiences, including senior leadership and external auditors
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus
Nice-to-have:
• Experience with cloud security tools and architectures (Azure or equivalent)
• Experience with bug bounty programs and vulnerability management platforms
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP)
• Knowledge of secure development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and secure coding standards
• Experience leading security architecture design in a scaling organization
