Join Datadog's Technical Escalation Engineering (TEE) team as a Technical Escalations Engineer 2 focused on the Agent product. You'll operate at the intersection of Technical Solutions, Engineering, Product, and customer success, tackling the most challenging technical problems that directly impact platform performance and customer outcomes. In this role, you'll investigate complex escalations and lead high-stakes technical calls for critical customer challenges. You'll develop deep expertise in Datadog's Agent across deployment, configurations, performance optimization, integrations, and telemetry collection. You'll mentor the Global Support Engineering team through office hours and learning sessions, ensuring they're equipped to handle complex issues. You'll also partner directly with Engineering and Product teams to identify gaps, drive platform improvements, and advocate for customer needs in shaping product evolution. You're a self-driven problem solver obsessed with excellence and continuous learning. You thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and push beyond expectations. You're a strategic thinker with a client-centric approach, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience while balancing technical feasibility. You have expert-level knowledge across Linux, Windows, and macOS with strong system-level troubleshooting skills (processes, services, networking, file systems). You're hands-on with CLIs, APIs, and configuration files (YAML/JSON), and can confidently guide others toward best practices. You're comfortable navigating containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes, and confident with scripting and automation (Python, Go, or Bash) to improve troubleshooting workflows. You're a collaborator and mentor who enjoys sharing knowledge, raising the technical bar, and contributing to a culture of excellence.
