The Technical Engineering Manager role is a dynamic leadership position responsible for building and leading high-performing front-end and back-end engineering teams. This manager will foster a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering execution with business strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Team Leadership & Culture: Embody and promote core organizational values (Integrity, Community, Passion, Courage, Innovation, Safety). Cultivate a high-performing, innovative culture within engineering teams. Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent through continuous learning and effective performance management.
Team Strategy & Planning: Identify strategic opportunities in front-end and back-end domains and influence stakeholder support. Align annual team OKRs with organizational goals. Stay ahead of technology trends to guide strategic adoption decisions. Manage engineering budgets efficiently to maximize impact.
Execution & Delivery: Build strong vendor partnerships to support engineering needs. Lead cross-functional engineering initiatives ensuring technical excellence. Collaborate on technical requirements, prioritize efforts, and align teams on goals. Measure and improve team efficiency and processes.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software engineering experience, 1-3 years in a leadership or management role, and a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Required skills include strong communication and presentation abilities, proven experience building and leading high-performing teams, ability to influence organizational dynamics, and proficiency in English. Relevant industry certifications or specialized training in front-end/back-end technologies is preferred. A quality, high-speed internet connection at home is required for the hybrid role.
