Transfyr is building physical AI systems for science—capturing real experimental work and converting it into machine-readable records of execution. The company addresses a critical gap: scientists lack the detailed feedback loops that athletes or engineers enjoy, making it hard to automate lab work, train new researchers, or transfer knowledge across teams. Transfyr's platform creates high-fidelity datasets on scientific execution, enabling teams to learn from failures, scale expertise, and provide grounded data for AI and robotics. As Technical Delivery and Business Development Lead, you will own the full customer lifecycle: discovery, pilot co-design, proposal development, partnership execution, and ongoing technical delivery. This is a hybrid role—neither pure sales nor pure project management. You'll identify strategic partners where Transfyr solves meaningful problems, translate between technical and executive stakeholders, and shape engagements that deliver real scientific and commercial value. Key responsibilities include building a strategic pipeline of qualified opportunities, designing technical-commercial engagements with clear scopes and success criteria, creating persuasive materials (decks, proposals, briefs) for diverse audiences, moving agreements forward through diligence and contracting, and serving as primary partner-facing project manager during launches. You'll also build scalable systems—lightweight pipeline discipline, account plans, and reusable materials—that enable the commercial team to grow effectively. You'll work closely with founders, scientists, and engineers to distinguish high-potential partnerships from distractions and help the company place deliberate bets. The role demands strong commercial judgment, exceptional writing, disciplined follow-through, and genuine curiosity about how AI and physical systems transform scientific work. You should be equally comfortable in executive conversations, proposal details, budgeting, and chasing final dependencies to close agreements. The role is in-person in Cambridge, MA, with travel for partner meetings as needed. Transfyr is backed by a $25M seed round, collaborates with leading frontier AI labs, and counts Nobel laureates, Stanford professors, and former OpenAI and Merck executives among its advisors.
