The Interview Content team designs, writes, tests, and monitors the technical interview questions and scoring rubrics used across all Karat interviews. As a Technical Content Development Engineer, you will design and build technical interview questions used to assess software engineering candidates, including coding exercises, debugging challenges, knowledge assessments, and real-world engineering scenarios. Instead, you'll write code to construct, test, and validate interview problems and their reference solutions across multiple programming languages. Key responsibilities include: - Design and build technical interview questions spanning coding exercises, debugging challenges, and real-world scenarios - Write and test interview content across multiple programming languages, ensuring solutions are correct and consistent - Leverage AI-assisted development tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.) to accelerate content creation while applying engineering judgment for accuracy - Conduct peer reviews to ensure content meets Karat's technical and quality standards - Update and improve content based on candidate performance data, interviewer feedback, and correction requests - Partner with the Content Architecture team to enhance content development processes and assessment quality - Help establish and improve development standards, templates, and documentation for the Content team You'll bring 2+ years of professional software engineering experience (post-academic, post-internship) in at least one modern programming language. You have strong software engineering fundamentals including debugging, testing, code review, and technical feedback skills. Experience with AI-assisted development tools is required. You communicate clearly in written and verbal English, and have experience working remotely on distributed global teams with availability during U.S. business hours. This position requires a schedule that overlaps with U.S. business hours and is currently available only to candidates residing in Bengaluru.
