Scopely, a leading mobile games publisher behind MONOPOLY GO!, Pokémon GO, and other major titles, is hiring a Technical Artist to join the Yahtzee! With Buddies team in Barcelona. The role is hybrid (3 days/week on-site) and sits within a small TechArt & Tools team of two, expanding to three.
You will design, implement, and drive adoption of an end-to-end content pipeline supporting live operations, design, UI, and 2D/3D art teams. Key responsibilities include:
• Implement and optimize UI systems that scale across diverse mobile devices, supporting both technical implementation and artist workflows
• Collaborate with art and engineering teams to streamline creative workflows and tooling
• Define and promote technical best practices for content creation
• Own and maintain the technical budget of in-game assets, ensuring gameplay-readiness and performance optimization
• Leverage HLSL and Unity's built-in render pipeline to solve rendering and performance challenges
Required qualifications: 3+ years as a Technical Artist in entertainment (mobile preferred), proficiency in scripting/coding (Python, C#), deep Unity expertise, solid computer graphics fundamentals, familiarity with DCCs (Blender, Photoshop, Figma), version control (Git), strong problem-solving and communication skills, and ability to document technical best practices.
Bonus: real-time VFX experience, animation pipeline knowledge, device profiling expertise. Portfolio or work samples required with application.
