This role focuses on Okta's Workforce Identity Cloud offering, particularly for customer identity use cases (B2C and B2B).
You will lead the gathering of business, functional, and technical requirements for identity platform implementations. Working as a key member of the Professional Services delivery team, you'll translate customer business needs into actionable technical strategies, develop comprehensive project plans, and provide technical leadership throughout implementation. You'll establish yourself as a trusted partner, conducting discovery workshops to derive customer requirements, developing functional and system design specifications, and assisting with periodic customer health checks and project reviews.
Required qualifications include 8+ years of IT/software development and solution design experience, 3+ years of consulting, 3+ years driving application architecture design, and 3+ years with IAM architectures. You must have 3+ years implementing cloud solutions (AWS, Google Apps, Salesforce) and deep knowledge of security architecture, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, SSO, RBAC, OAuth, OIDC, and web protocols (XML, SOAP, JSON, REST). Proficiency in Java, .Net, JavaScript, Angular, or React is required.
You should demonstrate ability to work with C-suite executives, lead discovery workshops, develop technical specifications, and effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences. Experience with customer identity use cases (user registration, MFA, SSO, delegated administration, social identities) and integrating on-premises and SaaS products is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field is required. Okta certifications (Technical Architect, Consultant, Developer), TOGAF, or CISSP are highly desirable. The role requires up to 50% travel.
