Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 / annual
Knox operates the largest Federal & DoD managed cloud, building and operating secure cloud and AI environments that support the U.S. government's most critical missions. As a Technical Account Manager II, you will own strategic customer relationships for Enterprise customers operating within Knox's FedRAMP-authorized cloud environment. This is a high-impact, purpose-driven role where your contributions are visible and the impact of your work is immediate and measurable.
You will serve as the primary operational and strategic point of contact for customer accounts, acting as the customer advocate within Knox. Key responsibilities include owning ongoing customer relationships following implementation and production go-live; advising customers on operational best practices, process adherence, and platform adoption strategies; coordinating cross-functional teams (SRE, Security, Compliance, Engineering, Customer Success) during operational incidents and escalations; driving customer meeting cadence and executive status updates; ensuring customers align with Knox operational expectations, SLAs, and incident response procedures; identifying and mitigating customer risks and adoption concerns; partnering with implementation teams to ensure continuity; advocating for customer needs while balancing platform standards; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The role is primarily in-person in Arlington, VA with hybrid flexibility based on business and customer needs. You will work in a high-stakes environment where speed, rigor, and trust are paramount—the systems you support cannot fail.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years total experience, including 3+ years of direct FedRAMP/RMF or federal authorization experience
- 5+ years in FedRAMP, federal cybersecurity/compliance, RMF, ISSO/ISSM functions, security assessment/audit, cloud operations, technical account management, or related roles
- 3+ years of direct experience supporting FedRAMP authorization, RMF, and/or ongoing authorization and ConMon activities
- Demonstrated experience supporting organizations through authorization activities (SSP/control documentation, evidence development, assessment readiness, POA&M management, ConMon, annual assessments, significant changes, agency/assessor responses)
- Strong working knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and shared responsibility in cloud environments
- Experience translating technical, security, and compliance requirements into clear guidance for customers and business stakeholders
- Experience working directly with federal agencies, CSPs, 3PAOs, ISSOs/ISSMs, AOs, or similar authorization stakeholders
- Understanding of federal cloud procurement and how FedRAMP authorization supports agency adoption, security review, and ATO processes
- Experience independently managing customer relationships, competing priorities, escalations, and cross-functional technical workstreams
- Strong executive and technical communication skills
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred
- U.S. citizenship required (dual citizenship not permitted); must provide documentation verifying sole U.S. citizenship status
